BAGHDAD, Dec 31 (KUNA) — Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki and Arab League Chief Nabil Al-Arabi discussed via phone the efforts on finding a solution to the political turmoil in Iraq within an Arab context.

A statement by Maliki’s office said Saturday that the Arab League Secretary General lauded Iraq on its efforts to resolve internal problems within the Arab context, adding that the league and Iraq would coordinate on the matter.

Iraqi politicians are continuing their efforts to resolve the turmoil in the country after a court order was issued to arrest Vice President Tareq Al-Hashimi on charges related to supporting terrorism.
